Magnificent Hotel with Spectacular Service The location, facilities and accommodations were fantastic, but what makes this hotel stand out is the service. The attention to detail and personalized service provided by the staff at the Shangri-La Bangkok can be favorably compared with any of the finest metropolitan hotels in the world.

Great place to stay in Bangkok!
Location, location, location! Shangri-la is situated on the river which allows easy access to most all tourist attrations. The nearby river taxi is convenient and efficient (also very inexpensive). You can also book various boat tours that leave directly from the hotel dock. A SkyTrain station is within a block of the hotel also. The facilities and service are also great!

Traveler's tip on local attractions
Visiting the Royal Palace can be a frustrating experience. Ignore everyone that tells you the palace is closed or that the entrance is in a direction opposite of which you are heading. Ask your hotel for assistance in determing the ticket office hours and then take a taxi directly to the entrance. You can also take the river taxi to stop #9 and walk directly to the entrance which will be located on the right-side of the street.
